Symposium of the Technical Academy Esslingen:
The GTB presented itself

For the first time, the German Testing Board (GTB) e.V. took part as exhibitor at the recent symposium „Testing in the system and software lifecycle“ on 27th/28th November 2007, an event organised by the Technical Academy Esslingen (TAE) every two years. The GTB used this well-established forum for software testers to present the currently available Certified Tester training courses, which are based on the standards of the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB®).

The GTB representatives presented their organisation and its portfolio at the trade show, which ran in parallel to the TAE Symposium on both days. Another ten exhibitors were present at this exhibition. The TAE symposium participants were in a position to get information from the GTB, particularly about the „Foundation Level“ and „Advanced Level“ of the ISTQB® Certified Tester training. In addition to this, they received information about the „Expert Level“ of the Certified Tester training, which will shortly be available.

GTB at TAE

The GTB decided to present itself at the TAE symposium, since this was deemed to be an excellent platform for its work. All participants at the TAE symposium, for example, had experience in software testing. The GTB stand at the accompanying exhibition therefore attracted a correspondingly large number of visitors. It was in particular the numerous young up-and-coming experts at the TAE event, who showed interest in the GTB and the training courses on offer.

The TAE symposium „Testing in the system and software lifecycle“ offered a total of 22 presentations this time, which informed about new trends and about experiences made, in particular with regard to software quality assurance. The speakers at the symposium came from different backgrounds, from the automotive industry, IT service providers and from public administration.
